The Notorious B.I.G. featuring Jay-Z & Nas – The Eulogy... This is cool mix
Here goes part two of Kenzo Digital’s beat cinematic project. This chapter, Eulogy features vocals from Biggie, Jay and Nas – arguably 3 of Hip Hop’s greatest ever. You can listen to the intriguing project below, meanwhile below is what the creator of this had to say on this piece:
This song was created to celebrate and commemorate the life of the late, great Notorious BIG. As the 2nd “Deleted Scene” from the “City of God’s Son” project, I wanted to show my respects by creating this song, and create a parallel world where Biggie still lives. Tron: will be EPIC!!!!!!
After an initial preview back in July of last year, the official film trailer for TRON: LEGACY makes its rounds across the net. The new trailer gives us a look into the full imagery of the updated TRON digital world, although unfortunately the release of the film isn’t expected until December 15th, 2010.
Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES), looks into his fathers disappearance and finds himself pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant Qora (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey of escape across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
Nike Sneaker Art.
Taking inspiration from the French delicacies, Nike has combined innovation and femininity into these sneakers, the Nike Sportswear Air Royalty. The leather thermo moulded structure pairs well with the pastel colors of the Macaroons and comes in flavors of almond, fruits, curaçao and lemon. These kicks will be available starting April 1st at colette.
Stussy x Supreme
As Stussy surges forward for its 30th anniversary “XXX” collection, the brand unveils what is arguably its strongest roster of collaborators with Group 2. The involved parties include some heavyweight Japanese brands such as Bounty Hunter and Neighborhood, the venerable Supreme, the Australian brand PAM, artist CLAW and two retailers, The Hideout and SlamJam. In addition, we conducted a short Q+A with one of Stussy’s creative forces, Paul Mittleman. Group 2 of Stussy’s 30th Anniversary XXX collection will release on Saturday March 20th at Stussy.com as well as Stussy Chapter Stores around the world.
Interview with Paul Mittleman
From an anniversary standpoint, what does the 30th anniversary represent?
This anniversary is a wonderful mark in time. A juncture to look back and forward, while living, working and creating in the ever fleeting and changing present.
How does the XXX T-shirt project differ from say the 2006 World Tour project, which followed a similar route?
The World Tour was a study of Difference and repetition. It was a more formal curatorial work investigating design, gesture, marks and inspiration. The XXX T-shirt project was framed under the guise relations. It was a celebration of friends and family. Some new, some old, some creators and some shops, but all close. Also, we wanted to explore the work of women in this series their voice and perspective accenting our ever-blossoming Stussy Women’s collection.
Having had the good fortune of being involved in so many collaborations over the years, how does Stussy continually try to push the envelope?
We just keep communication and dialogues open; we have lots of friends and the wonderful opportunity to let our brand resonate with other languages, inspiration and unfolding conversations.
Has Stussy required re-visiting the concept of collaboration due to the proliferation of the concept over the last few years?
We just look at every collaboration as an interesting opportunity. They all have different possibilities and expectations.
Aside from the XXX t-shirt project, how far in advance did you begin the planning process for all the various collaborations for the 30th anniversary?
Around 12 months is a good benchmark, it really depends on the project.
When it came to choosing the participants for the t-shirt project this time around, what common bond does each personality and brand share? Were there a certain criteria?
The criteria were people we have worked with or have a friendship with. It was about honesty and respect.
Was there a particular overview provided to each designer to ensure a general theme?
Not really, we wanted them to have fun; it was there turn to make us a birthday card.
Is there method or reason behind the groupings?
The groupings were pretty organic, time and space had a few factors.
Stussy’s relevance looks to extend well beyond its 30th anniversary. What would you say is the reason behind its longevity and what directions can the brand look to explore in the coming years?
We will explore timely ideas continuing to look back and forwards. Investigating equilibriums of creativity and commerce that will keep us modern and fresh until 2040.
Nike SB signature shoe Zoom Omar Salazar.
Featured within last night’s Omar Salazar launch event in San Francisco were upcoming colorways in the latest Nike SB signature shoe. The Zoom Omar Salazar adds yet another distinguished design to the roster, blending classic styling with Nike’s Flywire technology. Highlights include a brown leather version as well as a selection of suede options, all falling in line with the two recent drops. Look for these colorways to make their way into SB accounts in the coming months.

When news first broke about the release of the “AJKO” in White/Varsity Red-Black, older enthusiasts were more than pleased to learn about their opportunity to grab a pair of canvasAir Jordan 1s. The next colorway in the series utilizes more simple color blocking, but still possesses the same vintage aesthetic.
White canvas is used for the uppers, including the panel trim. Like the midsole, this material has been yellowed to appear as though the shoes have been worn a good deal. Red leather is in place along the quarter panel for the Swoosh, and matching accents appear elsewhere. Does the AJKO have you feeling nostalgic?

Away Laker VI's These is cool to rock with
Not only does the Air Jordan Spizike return this year, but the Air Jordan 6 also returns in 2010. The release of the Doernbecher Air Jordan 6 was just a taste of what’s to come from the Air Jordan 6 line.
Jordan Brand kicked the year off by releasing the black/varsity red Air Jordan 6. Jordan heads will have a chance to get the white/black Jordan 6 next month. Come April 17th, the Air Jordan 6 will release in the Detroit Pistons colorway, and we’re assuming the Lakers inspired Jordan 6 will release in May or June.

Fortitude Mids.....
Thanks to neon yellow and green accents aplenty, this next pair of adidas Originals Fortitude Mids maintains an old school tennis aesthetic.
Grey leather, nubuck and mesh are used for the majority of the upper, appearing on the quarters, tip and toe, respectively. To jump off that neutral base, the aforementioned neon yellow color is used on the laces and tongue tag. A bit of black is also used on the forefoot and lower portion of the midfoot.

Obviously, the majority of you are impatiently waiting the “Eggplant” Nike Air Foamposite One release that takes place this Saturday, March 6th 2010. However, while we await that arrival, photos of two new Nike 1/2 Cents have surfaced on the web.
One pair features the beloved “Eggplant” color scheme mixed with a multiple black accents, while the other pair takes on a new colorway dubbed “Cranberry”. The latter pair is comprised of a cranberry colored foamposite material with multiple black hints as well. There is no word yet on when these 1/2 Cent colorways will release; yet, stay tuned for additional information regarding these sneakers. What are your thoughts on these new 1/2 Cent colorways?

The adidas Forum, first released in 1984, was the first adidas basketball shoe that was produced in high, mid, and low-top versions. One of adidas’ most popular basketball shoes, the Forum is now regarded as one of the most iconic adidas styles ever produced and in 2010 receives an interesting makeover. This ” transformable” version features a removable popper/Velcro panel that offers two looks – if that’s a bit much for your sensibilities, the shoe looks pretty strong without the extra embellishment as well. Cali Vans....
Earlier today we saw an Authentic from theVans California collection in a very modern grey with silver eyelets. This three-shoe run of Erasis from the same collection, but is designed for those who still get around by one of the oldest methods of travel–cycling.
Fixed gear riders need a special breed of sneaker, so thick suede and canvas are used to build out the uppers, while the tried-and-true white vulcanized sole that can again be found underneath. Each sole uses the same color on its stripe that can be found on its respective liner. White contrast stitching appears throughout the uppers all on all three color-ups. Special multicolor laces further denote the cycle-ready design on this collection. A unique shade of grey, red and black are all available now at select Vans sellers.

Will 2010 be remembered as the ‘Posite Period’ in the sneaker community? Obviously, the“Copper” Nike Air Foamposite released in mid-February and the “Eggplant” Nike Air Foampositewill release this Saturday; however, we are now hearing from certain sources that the “Royal Blue”Nike Air Foamposite will release this Fall!The royal blue Nike Air Foamposite undoubtedly started it all. Originally released in 1997, this particular shoe was the first to feature Nike’sinnovative Foamposite technology of synthetic leathers. It instantly became a classic model and is responsible for all of the Foamposite sneakers we see today. How do you feel about the original Nike Air Foamposite returning this year?
