B more x Vans

The “Opening Day” Collection has brought us some very interesting Vans sneakers, including the Old Skool LX done for the Anaheim Angels. Next up in the series is this Sk8-Hi, which was designed for the Baltimore Orioles.
While the entire is solid black, it’s the details of this shoe that make it what it is. Leather is used for the midfoot, forefoot and heel, while canvas fills in the remainder. Near the ankle, orange embroidery and an orange eyelet further this shoe’s ties with the O’s. Finally, a heel logo was embroidered on to finalize the relationship. 12 pairs will be released on April 9th at Commonwealth.

Cali Vans....

Earlier today we saw an Authentic from theVans California collection in a very modern grey with silver eyelets. This three-shoe run of Erasis from the same collection, but is designed for those who still get around by one of the oldest methods of travel–cycling.

Fixed gear riders need a special breed of sneaker, so thick suede and canvas are used to build out the uppers, while the tried-and-true white vulcanized sole that can again be found underneath. Each sole uses the same color on its stripe that can be found on its respective liner. White contrast stitching appears throughout the uppers all on all three color-ups. Special multicolor laces further denote the cycle-ready design on this collection. A unique shade of grey, red and black are all available now at select Vans sellers.

Vans....

Vans Classics will release of a few of the Vans, well, classics in a new material treatment for their Spring lineup. 3 separate silhouettes are included in the “Chambray” Pack, and all should hit retailers sometime in March.
The Sk8-Hi makes an appearance in black chambray, with matching canvas helping out on the heel, toe and midfoot areas. An Old Skool has been given the same material and color treatment, including the white contrast stitching. A blue Old Skool was also created, while an Era rounds out the pack. That shoe utilizes canvas on the toe and heel as well, with the pack’s namesake textile filling in elsewhere.

Vans Era - Ripstop

A new make-up of the Vans Era has hit End. This particular shoe combines both ripstop on the toe and heel and canvas on the mid panel. The combination of these materials ensures a durable shoe as well as a pleasing textural contrast. As for color, the upper is tonal and employs a muted palette of grays and beiges.
Finishing touches on the shoe include metal eyelets, gray laces, and yellow stitching in the lining. Click the
jump to have a few looks at the shoe as well as a macro shot revealing the contrast between the ripstop and canvas sections.

Vans Vault x Boots.

Next Spring and Summer will bring us solid Vans releases, as would be expected from the company who many agree perfected the essential Summer skate shoe. From the Vans Vault though, we’re going to see these two leather high-top Switchbacks, which use a boot-like design.

The last time we saw this silhouette, it came in a similar brown to the ones we see here alongside a black pair. The first pair for next year uses a mixture of maroon and orange leather in premium leather, sitting on a white vulcanized sole. The toe is covered with maroon, while orange is used for the remainder of the upper. The other pair is covered completely with worked brown leather, further completing its boot-like appearance.
