Vans Half Cab Pro Valencia/Lagoon

In mid-January, we showed you the upcoming Half Cab Pro lineup for spring which featured four new colorways. One of them is now available at Vans’sonline store for $70.

It possesses a primarily valencia-colored suede base combined with a white, vulcanized rubber sole. Lagoon-colored accents are seen on the side panels (Half Cab branding) and the line design just above the aforementioned sole. Other features include monochromatic shoelaces and a black inner lining. As stated earlier, you can purchase this Half Cab Pro now at Vans’s online store.

Nicki Minaj started out talking to FADER Magazine about her Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape track, “Itty Bitty Piggy” and ended by revealing the secret behind her funny facial expressions.

“That’s the craziest one I’ve written yet. I sound like a Martian. I just really didn’t give a d*mn, just being crazy as I could possibly be…I don’t know where I fit in the spectrum of rap yet, I think now I’m kind of proving myself, but before, people thought I was more of a sex symbol or wannabe sex symbol. Now they’re seeing. That’s why I make the goofiest faces, I don’t want people to think I’m up here trying to be cute. I’m trying to entertain, and entertaining is more than exuding sex appeal. I don’t think that’s fun. I don’t find it fun watching someone trying to be sexy. It’s wack. I’m trying to just show my true personality, and I think that means more than anything else. Seen in its 2010 Spring/Summer collection, Supreme has put its nunchucks into live action by setting up a demonstration at the famous Anderson’s Martial Arts Academy in New York. Check out the video for the full action.

Nike Hyperdunk “Kobe Bryant x Aston Martin DB9″

Roughly two years, the Nike Hyperdunk made its official debut. It has since become one of the most populars basketball sneakers ever, so it’s only fitting that one of the more popular viral videos ever was used to promote it. To pay tribute to the internet phenomenon featuring Kobe leaping over an Aston Martin, Nike has designed a limited run of 500 Hyperdunks.

Reflective silver leather is used on the toe and midfoot areas, similar to the car in the video. The Flywire quarter panels don a darker grey color. Red leather is used for the liner, and the underside of the tongue includes a patch with Bryant’s signature on it. The tongue logo features a carbon fiber-look emblem with the Aston Martin wings and the Lakers’ guard’s name. These will release later this Spring, but you can grab a pair now at OSneaker.

Acclaimed director Nabil Elderkin helmed the visual for one of Kanye West’s most personal records “Coldest Winter” off of his 2008 effort “808s & Heartbreak”. According to Elderkin the visual has been of his greatest challenges so far since the right visual medium had to be chosen without Kanye who did not partake in the editing process. For his general approach to the concept Elderkin also had to take the artist’s emotional background into account:

“It’s pretty minimalistic. It’s slow and very visual. I just wanted to catch the vibe of the song and not get too literal. Because the lyrics are very close to Kanye and go much deeper than the video goes, obviously hearing the song you know it’s very emotional.”

‘Ye approved the result and even unleashed a revamped version of the track to accompany the “haunting” visual. Check it out.
