The mayor of a small Arkansas town wants an independent investigation on whether it was appropriate for a police officer to use a Taser on an unruly 10-year-old girl who kicked him in the groin.

Mayor Vernon McDaniel says he wants Arkansas State Police or the FBI to look into whether the use of the Taser was proper. The girl, who hasn't been identified, wasn't hurt and is now at the Western Arkansas Youth Shelter in Cecil.

Ozark police were called to the home Nov. 11 after the girl's mother couldn't get the child to take a shower.

Ozark Police Chief Jim Noggle, who has defended the officer's action, didn't immediately return a call for comment Wednesday morning.

DJ AM... Legend in the Sneaker World.

In the wake of DJ AM ’s untimely passing, his family and foundation have decided to auction his extensive sneaker collection for charity’s sake. As a part of the month-long auction, whichcan be found on eBay, UNDFTD’s Silverlake location is currently displaying a small portion of AM’s collection under glass for store visitors to check out.
Eddie Cruz and the team at UNDFTD have been instrumental in helping the DJ AM Foundation organize this auction, along with Deckstar and a number of friends of the world famous DJ. November 19, 2009. MediaTakeOut.com learned of a sad story today. A Detroit man named Jamar Pinkney is charged with CAPITAL murder for killing his own son.

Here's what happened. Jamar's 15 year old son (Jamar Jr) confessed to his mother that he was molesting his 3 year old half sister (his father's daughter with another woman). Jr's mother immediately called up Jamar Sr and told him what his teenage son was doing. And Jamar Sr flew into a rage.

Here's how the teenage boy's aunt recalls the incident:

“He beat my nephew real bad in the head, where he had knots like he had been in a boxing ring ... [When Cherry tried to intervene, the father pulled out a gun.]"

“I ran down the street to get police down here and I heard a gunshot,"

The elder Jamar apparently beat up his son. Then took him out into a field behind the house and shot him.

As sad as the story sounds, we don't think the dad should go to jail for murder. Maybe manslaughter or something ...
