Have you ever wondered if cyborgs wore sneakers what they would look like? Us neither, but one tech-minded artist did and he ended up creating the Nike High Terminator sneakers. Gabriel Dishaw used real circuit boards, gears and other parts you might find in electronics to create the strangest pair of sneakers we've ever seen. Everything is accounted for including the logo, tongue and soles, making them oddly accurate to real Nikes.
This piece was inspired by my love of sneakers and, in particular, The Nike High Terminator. I decided this time to do it right by making the entire package: from the shoes, to the shoe box, label, diagram and shoe tags. My theme on this piece is Frankenstein. You will notice the red felt is attached using staples like the skin of the great beast. This technique was also used to secure the metal sheet on the top of the box with the electricity logo.
Thanks for Nothing.
