Allen Iverson Back in the day in his Jordan 11's Gtown.
There was an abundance of happenings in the 1990s including the birth of gangster rap and Saved by the Bell. While yo-yo’s had their time and the Bulls reigned for most of the decade, one thing was constant: amazing college basketball. The 1990’s saw the Carolina-Duke rivalry in its prime, the rise of the Big East, and the birth of some of today’s biggest stars.
Sneaker heads also recognize the 90’s as the “Golden Age” of basketball kicks as sneakers such as the Air Jordan 11, the Foamposite One, and the Question surfaced.
Fans of college basketball and dope shoes unite as we take a look at the best on-court kicks of the 1990’s in college basketball. Click here to view some of the better kicks seen during the 1990s in college basketball.

The primarily red colored pair is inspired by Deion Sanders, while the other pair pays tribute to Penny Hardaway. Obviously, the latter colorway borrows its scheme from the Orlando Magic, the team Hardaway played for during his glory days. Unfortunately, this pack will not release. If it did surface, would this be a definite purchase? Click here to view detailed photos.

At a first glance, you can see that a nice mixture of colors and textures were used for this design. Aqua-colored suede is used on the toe box, side panels, inner lining (yes, that’s suede on the inner lining) and on the Nike tongue logo. In addition, it seems as if PPG uses black snakeskin on toe and midfoot sections as well as the swoosh. Last but not least, a dark red leather is seen on the heel panel and tongue, while the complimentary features include aqua-colored shoelaces and a outsole of the same color.
