Marc Jacobs pays tribute to mixtapes of yesteryear with a selection of cleverly disguised USB hubs. Each “mixtape” features crudely drawn artwork and includes three USB ports.
As part of the CASIO G-SHOCK “SHOCK THE WORLD” campaign, swagger are given the opportunity to create their very own style with the following DW-5600. The watch features a printed plaid-inspired watch band with a black LCD screen. The watch also comes in custom packaging including the same pattern. The watch will release next month at selected swagger retailers with a limited run of only 100 watches.
A new series out of Montreal, Canada, What Up Gangstars delves into various street level aspects of one of Canada’s most cultured cities. With the backing of the respected 123KLAN of graffiti artists, episode 1 and 2 revolve around graffiti and skateboarding respectively, hosted by “Jay” the puppet.
For the upcoming weekend release of Nike Basketball Zoom Kobe V, the MVPuppets and Footlocker have teamed up to produce two videos. The two different videos revolve around the Zoom Kobe V and include a rap as well as a scene which involves an appearance from the fire department at Kobe and LeBron’s crib due to a “hot shoe”. The Black/Del Sol/Varsity Purple Zoom Kobe V will begin shipping from Footlocker on January 16th, 2010.
Continuing on with a look into Supra’s 2010 spring collection, the TK Society is next up to be featured. The high-top model will come in five colorways over the next few months including the brashest of the bunch, a Blue Crackle with neon green sole as part of the TUF line. The shoes begin their release today, January 15th and will release the 15th of every month until March.
Heritage Research and Quoddy partner in a special version of the Grizzly Boot. The multi-tone affair features a brown moc-toe style in white stitching with a further contrast brought on by the use of lighter brown on the sides and dark brown deerskin on the tongue. Another added touch is the trademark “Lazy Arrow” stitch from Heritage Classic which is subtly incorporated into the construction of the boot. The Heritage Research x Quoddy Grizzly Boot will release in April.
The flagship shoe from Supra that vaulted the brand to massive heights, the Skytop will release in the following styles for the 2010 spring season. A largely tonal approach to design features a handful of different models with some patterns and prints thrown in as well. The collection is currently available with some styles releasing on January 15th and subsequently on the 15th of each month until March.
With strong traditional British influences in their aesthetic, Gauntlets approaches menswear in hopes of creating a more contemporary outlook. A marquee piece for the spring is a sheepskin leather vest with studded detailing on the color as well as a pair of plaid shorts.
Haiti faced a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion, an earthquake unlike anything the country has ever experienced. The magnitude 7.0 earthquake – and several very strong aftershocks – struck only 10 miles from Port-au-Prince. Over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince faced this catastrophe alone and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. Many people across the country have already started to contribute to the Haiti Relief Effort and Play Cloths must do its part as well. Sometimes it is very confusing when donating do to the high level of corruption within certain charities but in this instance Play Cloths feels that Wyclef Jean is a man they can trust.
So starting today, Friday January 15th @ 3pm EST, Play Cloths will release a signature Jack logo t-shirt designed for the Haiti Relief Effort. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED to the YELE HAITI EARTHQUAKE FUND, which is an organization supported by Wyclef Jean. In order to send the donation as fast as they can, the Haitian Jack t-shirt will only be on sale from Friday January 15th to Friday January

Supra unveils the following capsule of Bandits for the 2010 spring season. Coming in as a more subtle offering with a clean toebox design, a total of three styles include two suede versions in black and tan as well as a red leather release. The black version is available as of now while the tan version and red version will release in February and March respectively.
CASIO G-SHOCK update their roster of watches with the unveiling of an all new style, the GA-100 “Three-Eye”.While the “Three-Eye” approach isn’t a new one from CASIO G-SHOCK, the GA-100 is an update to the design. The watch features a large sized bezel with a combination of both traditional analog time-telling as well as two digital displays. The first series of GA-100s include a blacked out version, a white/blue version and a black/red version.
A new set of CASIO G-SHOCKs release upcoming based on the round-shaped DW-6900. The watch capsule features a number of bright offerings which include colorful LCD screens. Colors include blue, red, black and silver. Look for these to hit your local CASIO G-SHOCK dealer sometime in the near future.
An integral part of the Trilogy pack which was unveiled last year, Ronnie Fieg is auctioning off the following Cultureshoq x ASICS GEL LYTE III 1 of 1 unreleased sample to help the Haiti relief efforts. 100% of all proceeds from the eBay Auction will be presented to Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti Foundation. The auction runs from now until January 19th, 2010.
Fresh off a new video project, Erik Brunetti and FUCT serve up a preview into the Japan-market diffusion line, FUCT SSDD (Same Shit Different Day). The collection touches upon a military and workwear theme with distinct American undertones. The upcoming season features a number of different materials as the basis for the collection.
Interview Magazine has sat down with the king of hip hop Jay-Z for a chat . The interview discusses Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter favorite movie charectors, his presidential buddies, collaborations and his rise to fame that has been sustained over such a long period. Jay-Z turned 40 last year and is at the pinnacle of the Hip Hop world with his writing, producing and record label dealings. It’s a good read and gives you a nice little insight into the world of Jay-Z.
